Frame rubbing. There are multiple repaired tears and tears throughout. The largest being a 6 inch diagonal repaired tear in the background just above the man's shoulder; 3 1/2 x 1 inch T-shaped tear in the background at the upper left of the man's shoulder; 2 x 1 x 2 inch U-shaped tear in the background at the upper left background. Dense varnish. Some scattered inpaint.
